CTU Give Something Back Scholarship

In collaboration with Give Something Back (GSB), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Colorado Technical University (CTU) established the CTU Give Something Back Scholarship (CTU GSB Scholarship) to provide eligible students with an opportunity to attend CTU. Give Something Back selects scholarship recipients using its own selection criteria and provides a list to CTU. GSB will award a set contribution amount per calendar year to CTU for each recipient who enrolls at CTU. The CTU GSB Scholarship covers the remaining tuition balance after support from GSB is applied. Recipients must remain supported by GSB through completion of their degree program to maintain the scholarship. CTU will verify each recipient’s eligibility with GSB each session (five weeks) before scholarship disbursements are paid. Students must apply directly with GSB for the Scholarship. CTU does not provide or guarantee GSB support. If a student’s GSB support ends for any reason, the student is no longer eligible for the CTU GSB Scholarship and will be responsible for tuition charges incurred after that point.

In addition to the CTU General Grant and Scholarship Conditions, students must also meet the following criteria:

  • Students must be selected by GSB and continue to be supported by GSB through the duration of their degree in order to continue receiving the scholarship.
  • Students must be enrolled in an eligible undergraduate degree program as specified by the University.
  • Students must not be an employee or family member (spouse, dependent child or domestic partner) of an employee of CTU, its parent organization, or any of their respective affiliates.

  • Students may not be eligible for the CTU GSB Scholarship if they have previously withdrawn or been academically dismissed from CTU or any affiliate of its parent organization (unless approved by the University).
  • Students must commence their program within one (1) year of the date of their GSB award notification to receive the CTU GSB Scholarship.

  • Students must provide written consent for CTU to share enrollment, attendance, and academic progress information with GSB.
  • Students may not change programs after completing 50% of their current program’s required credit hours.
  • Students may attend up to 3 courses per 10 week term.
  • The scholarship can be combined with Post 9/11 GI Bill® and Veteran Readiness and Employment benefits.
  • The scholarship can be combined with the reduced military tuition rate.

All of the above conditions must be met before the CTU GSB Scholarship is disbursed and must continue to be met for the student to remain eligible. University fees are waived for CTU GSB Scholarship recipients.
